Smoothie with beetroot sprouts

Smoothies are the perfect way to get lots of nutrients in a tasty way.
Fruit-only smoothies contain unnecessarily high levels of fruit sugar, and a few pieces of fruit can, of course, be eaten without any effort.
It is the pureed vegetables that make a smoothie so nutritious. You will be surprised how delicious this sweet red vitamin bomb tastes when combined with fruit.

Ingredients

for 1 person
- 1 banana
- 30 gr beetroot sprouts
- 80 g yoghurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- optional: 2 tbsp oatmeal

Preparation
Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend in one to two
minutes to a smooth smoothie.

Pour the smoothie into a glass for immediate consumption, or fill up a bottle and store your vitamin bomb in the fridge for later.

Red beetroot sprouts are rich in vitamin E and give your smoothie a bright pink colour. The sprouts have a more subtle flavour than a full-grown beetroot and are therefore perfect to start with when making your first vegetable smoothie. You can easily turn them into a filling breakfast smoothie by adding oatmeal. Great for busy mornings.
